Stress Question Tips
- This question's easy to answer if you've never been fired. But if you have been fired, you should be ready to tell the interviewer what exactly happened and answer his or her follow up questions.
- Most interviewers will be understanding if the termination was the result of a situation beyond your control such as corporate downsizing. However, if you have been fired because of your poor performance or some other problem, you should be able to admit your fault and convince the interviewer that you have since corrected the root of the problem.
- Be completely honest even if this question is difficult to answer. Otherwise, the recruiter may find out about it from your references and you may be dismissed, or your job offer revoked.
