Stress Question Tips

  • This kind of question tries to see if you're willing to commit yourself to the company if they hire you. Tough questions like this may be unfair during an initial interview, but keep in mind that your answer can make or break your interview. So if you're unsure with your answer in the initial interview, keep it simple by saying something like, "That's certainly a possibility," or "I'm willing to consider that."
  • If you receive a job offer later on and find out the specific work conditions, that's when you can decide whether to accept the position or not. The job-offer stage is where you have the most negotiating power so there's a better chance that the prospective employer would be willing to accommodate your needs. But if that isn't the case, you could explain that you have decided that you can't relocate but also that you'd like to be considered for other openings in the future.
